We've seen several clients saying that they were getting better results from Claude that Copilot. However they like the integration that Copilot brings, along with the compliance benefits of keeping their data within their own Microsoft tenancy.
The good news is that now you can have both the brains of Claude and the integration of Copilot. Microsoft have made the Claude AI models available in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Users can choose Claude Sonnet 4 or Claude Opus 4.1 in the Researcher agent and Copilot Studio.
From a compliance perspective - you also retain control. Microsoft is treating Anthropic (the makers of Claude) as a sub-processor. Therefore your existing Microsoft Online Services Data Protection Addendum remains applicable to any data being processed.
So users are happy they get the results they are looking for. And management are happy they are still in control of the company's data.
