Client – Clarion UK

Objectives – provide appropriate support and advice

Clarion are the UK’s leading British Sign Language (BSL) interpreting agency. Their vision is that every deaf person gets the best interpreting, support and employment services in the right place, at the right time, throughout life.

The Clarion IT network includes a mix of on-premise and Azure-hosted servers, as well as Office 365 solutions for email and collaboration. Clarion were looking for a responsive, reliable IT Partner who could provide appropriate support and advice, and after a review process selected 4Cambridge to help them.

4Cambridge now provides a full IT Support service for Clarion that includes proactive remote network management and monitoring, and IT helpdesk support for all their users. Most of the support is done remotely via telephone and “screen sharing” technology, but site visits are also included when required. The proactive support includes patch management, and checks on backups, antivirus and other routine services to keep the systems secure and prevent problems occurring.

Cyber Security and data protection are important to Clarion, as they hold sensitive personal data relating to their clients. 4Cambridge have helped and advised them on this, enabling them to put appropriate protection in place to protect the data they hold.

As Clarion’s IT Partner 4Cambridge have also worked on other projects, including assisting with the setup of a remote office for one of Clarion’s teams, and reviewing Azure subscriptions to identify cost savings without impacting on performance.
